Choose DRE:
"To be quite honest, there are many companies that do what we do. Some of them are good quality companies, and some aren’t. It is difficult in a very competitive field to separate yourself from the competition. Invariably, the question comes up: 'Why go with DRE?'
I’ve thought about this question a lot. Sixteen years ago, I don’t think I would have answered the question the same way I would today. In the beginning, I would have said something along the lines of 'We’re smarter, or faster, or better, or we try harder.' I believe all of these things are true of DRE, but they are also true of many quality companies.
Today, if you asked me what make us the company to choose I would say one thing. We don’t give up. Every project I have ever been involved in has at some point, had issues. Sometimes they are small problems, sometimes they are big. Schedules get shortened, material comes in late, the scope of the project changes, things get missed, backhoes hit pipes (the ones that aren’t marked of course), or any number of things that you can’t imagine until they actually happen. Sometimes they are our fault and sometimes they aren’t.
What makes us different isn’t how we run pipe or pull wire, it’s how we respond to problems. We don’t quit, and we don’t give up. We figure out what is wrong and then we fix it. I have always believed that measure of a person or a company is not how they behave when things are easy; it’s how they react when they aren’t. That’s what makes us different, and I am very proud of that.”
